NEXUS is for dedicated field hockey players committed to their own development. The program brings field hockey players together with experienced coaches trained in The USA Way. This unique coaching platform provides a unified framework for how we think about the game of field hockey across the country. From player development and technical skills,to how players can own their personal development,this program aims to help dedicated athletes be the best they can be.
Previous years Futures participants will need to log into their USA Field Hockey account to accept their NEXUS invitation.
New interested athletes will need to register their interest in the program using the Registration link on the NEXUS home page.
Dates and locations are set for the Nexus Program in Region 4 (New York):
Each weekend will have a tentative schedule that includes 7 hours of turf time,time for lunch and chalk talk,and will likely run from 9 AM to 2 PM on Saturday and 9 AM to 1 PM on Sunday. We will have a complete schedule once registration ends,as far as start/end time. All age groups train together at each location BUT skill groups train independently of each other and are based on previous years' evaluations and new athlete coach recommendations.

Nexus Region 4 Selection Weekend (formerly RFT): June 12-13 (Albany)
Nexus Championships (formerly NFC): July 6-14 (Virginia Beach)
Athlete arrival will depend on your assigned practice times. Your practice slots will fall between the listed timeframe. Athlete departure will be no later than the listed timeframe. Nexus Championship is a Stay-To-Play event and hotels will be booked through USA Field Hockey.
