USA Field Hockey and the NFHCA have teamed up to offer two professional development opportunities in one day.

Want to earn your Level 1 Certification? USA Field Hockey's Level 1 Coaching Program consists of both the Level 1 Online Course - Part 1 and Level 1 Instructional Clinic - Part 2 in-person is a 4.5 hour offering and will be held at Quinnipiac University, CT on Tuesday, August 2 from 9:00-1:30 pm EST. This Level 1 will be led by trained Coach Educator, TBD. This Level 1 is specifically designed for individuals with a basic knowledge and understanding of the game of field hockey. Individuals who are brand new to the sport are welcome to attend, but may find it difficult as the course covers a broad range of topics in a short period of time. 

The NFHCA Ready2Coach Clinic is will run an hour after the end of the Level 1 and will be held at the same facility, starting in the classroom at 2:30 pm. 

This three-hour NFHCA Ready2Coach Clinic focuses on pre-season preparation, practice planning, and the fundamentals to kick off your 2022 fall season strong.

• Identify and assemble the key components of executing a successful pre-season
• Engage in roundtable discussions with other coaches on relevant topics
• Learn characteristics of sound drill design and progression, building on small games

Upon completion of the Level 1 and NFHCA Ready2Coach Regional Clinic, all participants will receive a certificate of completion by both organizations. 

More about the Level 1

Program Requirements: The Level 1 Online Coaching Course and Instructional Coaching Clinic Program is specifically designed for individuals that already possess a basic knowledge and understanding of the game of field hockey.

1. All must first complete Part 1: Level 1 Online Coaching Course, then complete Part 2: Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic in order to receive a full Level 1 Certification.
2. In order for a Level 1 Certification to remain active and to take advantage of special USA Field Hockey Member pricing, all registrants must be registered as a current and active Coach Member of USA Field Hockey.
3. To get the most out of the Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic, USA Field Hockey requires that all registrants bring completed tasks from the Level 1 Online Coaching Course to the in-person Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic for self-reflection and review.
4. Once registered, an automated email will be received with the link to access the Level 1 Online Coaching Course.

Special Pricing for both the Level 1 and the NFHCA Ready to Coach Clinic is $129 (*Note: Please bring your own lunch)
