High Performance Summit (HPS), presented by USA Field Hockey

USA Field Hockey is thrilled to introduce its inaugural High Performance Summit (HPS), taking place from May 17th (8:00 a.m.) to May 18th (ends at 5:00 p.m.), 2023, at Queens University - Cathy Bessant Field located in Charlotte, North Carolina. As the Women's National Team gears up for various international competitions, including the Pan American Games (Olympic Qualifying Tournament), coaches are invited to join us and gain exclusive insights into the team's training regimen and preparation strategies. Working under the leadership of High Performance Director, Craig Parnham and Head Coach David Passmore, and witnessing the recent improvements of our United Eagles, we are thrilled to support and learn from our high-performance squad in this unique setup. The summit will be centered around engagement, connection, networking, supporting the team that's currently training in Charlotte, and learning from the best professionals in the nation.

This full, two-day summit will concentrate on High Performance Development, Planning and Execution, making it a valuable professional development opportunity for USA coaches committed to continuous learning. The HPS is suitable for anyone who is eager to delve deeper into the intricacies of high-performance training and gain a more comprehensive understanding of the practical application of training methodologies in the context of international competition.

The event includes several on-field workshops and classroom presentations led by elite coaches and coach educators, including High-Performance Director, Craig Parnham, U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach David Passmore, U.S. Women’s National Team Assistant Coaches Tracey Fuchs, Guest Coach, Javi Telechea and U.S. Women’s National Team Performance Analyst Chris Fry. Attendees can look forward to learning valuable skills from these industry experts, such as how to teach the drag flick from Pietie Coetzee-Turner and Elite Goalkeeper Training from David Williamson and Olympian Jackie Briggs. We are delighted to announce that Sean Rapaport, a world-class umpire and recently appointed Director of Umpiring for USA Field Hockey, will be joining our team at the summit to share his expertise on a variety of topics related to rule interpretation.

Don't miss this unparalleled opportunity to learn from our nation's leading field hockey team and pass on their best practices to your own players and staff. Prepare to engage with the USA Field Hockey staff LIVE and ask them your burning questions, facilitated by High Performance Director, Craig Parnham. You will also receive experiences through a series of on-field and classroom presentations led by our elite coaches and coach educators. Don't miss out on this invaluable learning opportunity!
